FGDC Seeks Comments on Updated Strategic Plan for the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI)

Posted By Nick Palatiello, Monday, August 12, 2013
Updated: Friday, August 9, 2013

MAPPS has been working with the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) and other partners in the Federal and non-Federal geospatial communities to develop an updated strategic plan for the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).

MAPPS staff participated in two NSDI Leaders Forum meetings in March and June and provided comments and suggestions as the FGDC staff developed the strategic plan. The revised draft of the NSDI plan (Version 2) was released for public comment on July 31. The public comment period will be open until August 21.

The revised plan, along with instructions for providing comments, is posted at:  MAPPS encourages members to review the updated draft and provide your own feedback and reactions to the MAPPS staff or directly to FGDC.
