Senior Geospatial Analyst

Job Description:
The Senior Geospatial Analyst is responsible for using advanced image processing and geospatial processing techniques for the creation of special intelligence and GIS information. The Senior Geospatial Analyst will perform as a member of an intelligence production team responsible for the creation of strategic intelligence products.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work at the direction of a Geospatial Project Manager who specifies the feature collection requirements, area of interest, data quality standards, and format of the final product.
  • Create complex and complete final geospatial products from raw sources of imagery and other base terrain data.
  • Update existing GIS data from stereo imagery and assign appropriate attribute data to all collected information.
  • Solve basic problems involved with the collection of geospatial data and implement proper workflows to ensure the work is completed in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Be an advocate for the company while working on-site at a customer location.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree — Geography/Remote Sensing
  • 5+ year's experience with ERDAS IMAGINE.
  • 5+ year's experience working on geospatial data production.
  • Work experience with various image types such as multispectral, hyperspectral, stereo and RADAR.
  • Ability to develop spatial models to synthesize complex geospatial products from base terrain data.
  • Knowledge of remote sensing technigues such as imagery enhancement, rectification, and multispectral classification.
  • Ability to see in stereo.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have a current Top Secret Clearance.
