BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
i-TEN Associates is expanding our U.S. marketplace through direct sales and marketing initiatives and as a result we are seeking a dynamic, results oriented business development individual who has practical Geospatial experience. Based from our office in Portland, Oregon, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing new client relationships and managing existing client accounts by identifying and communicating i-TEN geospatial solutions that effectively respond to client requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for direct sales to generate revenue and profit for the company while demonstrating strong solution selling and developing client relationships. The company specializes in Photogrammetry, GIS, CADD and CAFM tools.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Accountability Measures):
- Demonstrated ability to manage the entire sales cycle in a technical sales environment, including prospecting, proposing, closing, and further developing an existing account potential.
- Responsible for completing direct sales to defined clients through building of long-term client relationships at all levels within multiple areas.
- Develop solutions to meet client business requirements and reduce competitive threat through the identification of potential opportunities and a detailed understanding of the geospatial service markets.
- Ability to listen to clients in a pro-active, professional manner and determine a solution based approach to selling and gaining increased revenue share of customer expenditures.
- Work collaboratively with internal resources to ensure project timelines and objectives are clearly identified and achieved.
- Prepare proposals, letters, bid documents, executive summaries as required to secure deals.
- High degree of self-motivation, combined with effective organizational and time management skills.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- An equivalent of a post-secondary degree in Marketing or a related field and/or a minimum of five year's experience in solution selling. An understanding of Geomatics, GIS or the Earth Science industry and formal training in solution selling is an asset.
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office software applications and CRM tools.
- A highly organized, pro-active individual who has strong business acumen.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationship and effectively convey and discuss issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- At least 5 years experience in working with State, local, Federal Government.
