Business Development Manager
Washington, D.C.

MJ Harden is seeking Business Development Manager focusing on positioning all current and future MJ Harden products and solutions with new customers or within new market segments in either commercial or federal government vertical markets. The goals are to acquire sustainable, revenue-generating contracts that satisfy the client's needs. These will typically, but not exclusively be longer lead opportunities for approximately 12-18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Development: Identify, qualify and pursue through contract closure new business prospects for MJ Harden products and services.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical and/or marketing support to MJ Harden Sales team on near and/or long term sales opportunities as identified.
  • New Business Creation: Collaborate with prospective clients on developing new requirements to support their objectives. Research new market opportunities and position MJ Harden products and services within those markets where appropriate.
  • Customer Support & Marketing: Develop technical overview briefings that address prospect's general domain needs; respond to technical issues and queries from current and prospective clients; respond to RPFs or develop unsolicited proposals and white papers.
  • All other duties assigned. Moderate travel up to 50% away from work location. Residence within 50 mile radius of Washington, D.C.

Requirements

  • BS / BA in Business with a background in geography, mapping, photogrammetry, LiDAR, or related earth science field desired. Training in remote sensing / geographic information systems a plus.
  • Position requires at least 10 years of successful experience selling or experience with federal organizations, knowledge of photogrammetric engineering services, LiDAR and mapping requirements. Prior experience in government related organizations a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and word processing programs. Experience using Customer Resource Management software (ACT!).
  • Valid driver's license to drive to customers' sites.
  • US Citizenship is required. Must have or be able to obtain a US Top Secret/SCI security clearance
