Position Announcement

Spot Image Corporation, an EADS Astrium company- Sales Territory Manager - Energy Markets

This is a full time exempt position and reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Description:

Identify, prioritize and pursue new and existing opportunities for the full suite of Spot commercial products in the remote sensing market. Ensure the promotion and sale of geospatial service programs to Oil and Gas vertical market namely Global Seeps, Structural and fracture mapping and additional seismic, pipeline and infrastructure planning services. Solicit, assemble, and close solutions for the major players active in the fields of Energy and Minerals utilizing remote sensing solutions. Customers will be based in the United States and may utilize a global footprint.

Be able to create the strategies and execute the tactics in order to drive substantive, additional benefit to clients that result in revenue generating contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Meeting and exceeding sales goals
  2. Managing key accounts and VAR's for new business and mining existing opportunities
  3. Analysis and monitoring of the competitive environment and market research
  4. Representation of the Company at trade shows and conferences

Skills Required:

The successful candidate must be able to quickly understand new technologies and business models and be able to evaluate their relevance to the clients' visions.

Preference for a strong background in the Oil & Gas marketplace utilizing geo-information services to meet the needs of customer requirements gained by job experience, supplemented either by commercial experience, ideally of GIS solutions and services, or a sound knowledge of the application of GIS in a given domain (either of Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry or Cartography).

Proven background in overachieving targeted sales goals while providing the highest level of customer service.

Ability to prioritize and to work on a team.

Experience Required:

  1. Bachelor Degree
  2. 5+ years in sales in the O &G Marketplace
  3. First-hand knowledge of Remote Sensing and/ or satellite imagery applications
  4. Very High Resolution Satellite industry experience desired.

This position will be based in the Houston area and the candidate will utilize a home office, some traveling, both domestic and international, is understood.
