Senior Proposal Coordinator
Washington, D.C.

General

The Opportunity:
Use your proposal coordination experience to help lead the delivery of high-quality proposals that clearly convey the proposed solutions of ESRI and satisfy the requirements of our clients. This position will support the Professional Services staff in the Washington, D.C. regional office.

The Team:
A career on the ESRI Professional Services and Consulting team provides you the opportunity to collaborate with our customers to support innovative database and applications development, SOA, and enterprise software solutions. The variety of project work enables you to use your software development, database engineering, GIS expertise, and project management skills in a number of growing markets such as natural resources, commercial, government, utilities, and defense. Most positions are based at our headquarters in Redlands, California and our regional office in Washington, D.C.; however, opportunities are also available in other locations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central point for reviewing and processing services proposal opportunities in the Washington, D.C. region.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication among the regional office, Professional Services staff, and other ESRI groups to meet specific proposal objectives.
  • Implement and manage the Professional Services framework for managing services opportunity qualification and proposal activities.
  • Develop response specification for proposals submitted by ESRI.
  • Develop proposal strategy and approach for winning proposals; present and review proposal strategy and associated costs with senior management.
  • Communicate with existing and potential clients as well as business partners to establish proposal response requirements.
  • Work closely with pricing analyst to develop pricing and cost sections for various proposals.
  • Work closely with contract administrators to develop contractual exceptions and comments for proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or masters in business, GIS, social science, or related field.
  • Three to five years of professional experience.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and writing skills.
  • Understanding and professional exposure to the process of proposal development.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with GIS/IT technology during project coordination or project development.
  • Demonstrated success with business relations in a service oriented business environment.
