SW Engineer, Radar Remote Sensing

Job Description:
Are you passionate about Radar Remote Sensing? Do you have background in remote sensing and/or image processing? ERDAS is seeking a Software Engineer to join a talented development team developing the industry's leading Remote Sensing software product, ERDAS IMAGINE. As a Software Engineer, you'll help enhance ERDAS' industry-leading Radar Mapping Suite, which provides specialized tools for processing radar data in a standard remote sensing or GIS environment. You'll participate in the full software development lifecycle in a fast-paced, quality-driven agile software development environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of designing and developing software solutions for Radar remote sensing and geospatial imaging, adhering to well-structured software engineering standards, design specifications and development schedules.
  • Work in an agile development environment that promotes instantaneous feedback, collaboration and co-programming, and user-facing features in iterations.
  • Work with QA and product management to maintain the integrity of complex legacy software systems.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
  • Minimum B.Sc in computer science, electrical engineering, geospatial science or related fields; M.Sc preferred.
  • Strong mathematics and algorithm development experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of C/C++ programming experience
  • Domain knowledge and experience in remote sensing and/or image processing, especially Radar interferometry and orthorectification a strong plus.
  • Highly motivated team player, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a desire for continuous learning
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Eligibility to obtain US Security Clearance strongly preferred.
