Transportation

Dragonfly Adventure has offered MAPPS a "special rate” for round trip transportation to and from the Luis Munoz Marin (SJU) airport to Gran Melia Puerto Rico Resort. The special MAPPS rate is $65 round trip p/p for adults and for children 3-11 a rate $50 p/child based on a NON-EXCLUSIVE basis. All reservations must be made directly at their reservation department and pre-paid. E-mail itineraries to confirm land transfers to: dragonfly@dragonflyadventurespr.com or vanessab@granmeliapr.com or call 1-787-889-7430/60 main office 8:30am – 5:30pm or directly at the Hotel Tour Desk Dragonfly Concierge 1-787-657-1026. 8:30am – 8:00pm. Upon guests arrival at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU), guests must proceed to the baggage claim area. Upon arriving at baggage claim, representatives from Dragonfly Adventures will be holding a sign with the Resort Name. Their staff will direct guests to the correct baggage claim belt and will escort them to the waiting vehicle for their transfer to the Hotel. Dragonfly Adventures office hours are Mon - Fri 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Toll Free: 1-866-247-2121 Office: 787-889-7430 – Tour Desk: 1-787-657-1026. Should you experience any flight changes or mayor delays on your travel day please contact their airport staff at 787-637-0044. To confirm your departure arrangements, once you have checked in at the resort, you can easily go over to the Tour Desk. There, you will be given the recommended time of departure from the resort (which is 3 hours prior to your flight).

If you decide to rent a car parking charges at the Gran Melia are $16.58 daily, inclusive, for self-parking and $26.75 daily, for valet.

General Membership Meeting – A special membership meeting has been called by the MAPPS President and Board of Directors to consider a proposed amendment to the MAPPS bylaws providing for an ex officio seat on the MAPPS Board for a representative of Associate Members.

Corporate Wellness - Corporate Wellness is rapidly becoming an important investment by companies, with the spiraling cost of healthcare creating more incentives for businesses to create wellness programs for their employees. This presentation will provide an overview of the major causes of loss of productivity in the workplace; how a wellness program can address this problem; the potential costs and ROI achievable by instituting a wellness program; and some resources to help the participant to get started. Tony Brown (Eastdawn Corp.), a Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner and Certified Health Coach, will present.
