2018 Winter Conference
January 28-February 1, 2018
Kissimmee, Florida

The Winter conference includes a two track format designed for principals, owners and partners on one track and a second for emerging leaders – those currently in middle management positions who are the next generation of emerging leaders -- tomorrow's principals, owners and partners in MAPPS member firms. A principal from a firm must be registered at the full conference rate for an emerging leader(s) to qualify for the lower rate.

Parking at the hotel is complimentary. The Reunion Resort does not provide transportation to and from the airport.  It is suggested you take a taxi or Uber.

Golf
The MAPPS golf scramble is a fun, friendly competition designed for golfers of ALL levels. We encourage all principals, emerging leaders, spouses and guests to register for this event. The MAPPS scramble is a great way to network with your colleagues, meet new friends, enjoy an afternoon on the golf course. LiDAR Control and QA/QC: A Different Animal, Speaker: Philip Hummel, CompassData, Inc

Ground truth and quality control process for LiDAR projects have different requirements than typical photogrammetric projects. USGS, FEMA, ASPRS have guidelines but what qualifies as good practice? Presentation will review best practices for field survey, data processing, LiDAR QC during production and QA to support final deliver. This session will be a review of requirements to support 3DEP and other LiDAR programs, and a review of equipment, software and processes that support successful projects.
