Nominations Chairman Appointed; Member Volunteers Sought

MAPPS President Jeff Lovin has appointed Patrick Olson (Aero-Metric, Inc., Sheboygan, WI) as chairman of the 2010 Nominations Committee. The Nominations Committee will make recommendations to the membership for two positions on the MAPPS Board of Directors. Individuals who would like to serve on the nominations Committee should contact Mr. Lovin (jeff.lovin@woolpert.com 513-527-2600) by April 3. The election for the MAPPS Board of Directors will be held during the MAPPS Summer Conference, July 29-August 2 in Lake Tahoe, NV. The following is the MAPPS 2010 election schedule:

• March 25 - Call for Nominations Committee members

• April 3 - Close call for Nominations Committee members

• April 15 - Announcement of Nominations Committee members by MAPPS President and call for candidates for MAPPS Board of Directors

• May 15 - Close of submissions to Nominations Committee

• June 15 - Nominations Committee slate announced (additional nominations may be made from the floor at the annual business meeting)

• July 29-August 2 - Annual MAPPS Business Meeting and Election during the Summer Conference

  Formed in 1982, MAPPS is the only national association exclusively comprised of private firms in the remote sensing, spatial data and geographic information systems field in the United States. The MAPPS membership spans the entire spectrum of the geospatial community, including Member Firms engaged in satellite and airborne remote sensing, surveying, photogrammetry, aerial photography, LIDAR, hydrography, bathymetry, charting, aerial and satellite image processing, GPS, and GIS data collection and conversion services.
