MAPPS identified a pre-filed bill in the New Hampshire legislature which included in the summary of language including
images of a person’s residence to be taken from the air”. MAPPS wrote a letter to the sponsoring legislature, Rep. Neal Kurk, to raise concerns about the unintended consequences the language would have on the geospatial profession. MAPPS concerns are highlighted in the letter to Rep. Kurk in the letter below. The bill was amended to address the concerns raised by MAPPS before it was put to a vote.
