Join the MAPPS experts to learn about practical UAS project specifications, contracting/risk issues, RFP’s, optimal project size, assessing positional accuracy, photogrammetry/GIS deliverables, and much more. As the nonprofit association of private sector geospatial firms in the United States, MAPPS advocates to Congress for sound geospatial policy and program funding in Washington D.C. Moreover, MAPPS is represented on the FAA Rule Making Committee facilitating safe and efficient UAS operation.

*Register for the workshop when you register for the expo. The MAPPS workshop is offered as an add-on to either Full Conference or Exhibits-Only registration for Commercial UAV Expo Americas.

Mike Tully, President & CEO
Aerial Services, Inc
Mike Tully is the President and CEO of Aerial Services, Inc. located in Iowa and has been leading ASI for two decades. He is a certified photogrammetrist and GIS-professional, holds an M.S. in Forestry, and a Masters in Business Administration. Mike enjoys helping professionals understand remote sensing and mapping.

Philippe Simard, Ph.D, President
SimActive
Philippe Simard has been acting as the President of SimActive since its creation in 2003. Under his leadership, the company rapidly positioned itself at the forefront of the industry. Through his efforts, SimActive has experienced exponential global growth as the software is now used by thousands in over 100 countries. His prestigious achievements include adoption of Correlator3D™ by governments, military organizations and the leading mapping firms around the world.  He holds a doctorate in electrical engineering from McGill University, where he completed his research in computer vision. Within two years of forming SimActive, he won the prestigious Young Innovator Award from the Networks of Centres of Excellence, which honors top Canadian researchers whose work benefits society.

Alicia McConnell, PE, UAS Program Lead
Michael Baker International
Alicia’s experience is multi-faceted in that she is a Transportation Engineer with 9 years of design experience and is also an FAA-certified Remote Pilot who has been flying Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for Michael Baker for 4 Years.  Since early 2018, she has been leading the UAS program at Michael Baker International.  She oversees 31 pilots across the nation that perform UAS-based missions including surveying and mapping, bridge inspections, communication tower inspections, construction inspection and monitoring, disaster assessments, building/roof inspections, and thermal analyses.

Eric Andelin CP, GISP
Eric brings 35 years' experience to the mapping profession. His background includes: Survey, Aerial Photography, Photogrammetry, GIS, Lidar (mobile) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Eric has previously served on the board of MAPPS and the ASPRS. Currently he is part of the ASPRS UAS committee and is integral in developing the ASPRS UAS Certification program. Eric is consistently seeking new technologies to further our profession.

Jason Heywood, CP, PSM, SP
Vice President
DroneViewTechnologies
Jason Heywood is the Vice President for DroneView Technologies. His 20+ years of experience providing geospatial services include projects for federal, state, municipal and private clients. He is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist and is licensed in Florida, Virginia and South Carolina. He earned his Bachelor's degree at Staffordshire University in England, and his Master's degree at Eastern Michigan University.  He is a member of several national and state professional geospatial organizations and is the Past-President of the Eastern Great Lakes Region of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing [ASPRS].
