As mentioned in the May President's Message, the MAPPS Board of Directors has approved a change to the membership renewal process.
What does this mean for your company?
Starting on October 1, 2019, all members will be invoiced for membership dues through December 31, 2020. For members who renew after October 1, 2019: If your company dues cycle starts on November 1, then your company will be invoiced from November 1, 2019 through December 31, 2020. If your company dues cycle starts on February 1, then your company will be invoiced from February 1, 2020through December 31, 2020. Starting on January 1, 2020 all members would be invoiced on the January 1-December 31 dues cycle.
Why is MAPPS doing this?
Currently, the MAPPS dues structure, fiscal year and budget year are not aligned, which causes operational challenges. By aligning the budget, fiscal and dues structure, MAPPS can better create member value and plan for the future.
MAPPS Current Schedule
MAPPS Current Fiscal & Budget Year: January 1 – December 31
MAPPS Current Dues Structure: On a rolling basis with variable income each month
MAPPS New Schedule
MAPPS New Fiscal Year: January 1-December 31
MAPPS New Dues Structure: January 1-December 31
Starting on January 1, 2020 all members will be invoiced on the January 1-December 31 dues cycle.
What to do if you have a question about your company dues structure or need to confirm your current renewal date?
The MAPPS staff will send out periodic emails on the dues alignment change leading up to the Annual Membership Meeting that will take place during the Summer Meeting in Park City, Utah.
