|Membership Renewal Information|
You may renew your annual MAPPS membership up to 52 days before it expires. At that time, a renewal reminder is emailed to the firm administrator in charge of your Master Account. It includes easy-to-follow instructions on how to renew. To review your firm's membership status:
Please review the membership structure below. MAPPS also offers several optional enhanced levels of membership to increase your firm's participation, exposure and marketing among your peers and potential partners and clients. Take a few moments to review each of these options and additional opportunities. You will have an opportunity to choose these enhanced levels during the renewal process.
Annual Base Dues
Regular Member Firm
Definition: Any firm having office(s) located in the United States of America and is engaged in the geospatial profession may become a Regular Member by making written application to the MAPPS President accompanied by payment of one year's dues. "Engaged in the geospatial profession" means any firm that has as one of its purposes the creation, collection, dissemination or application of geo-referenced graphical or digital data to depict natural or manmade physical features, phenomena, or boundaries of the earth, geospatial intelligence, and any information related thereto, including any such data that comprises a survey, map, chart, geographic information system, remotely sensed satellite or aerial image or data.
Regular Member Firm dues are based on total number of employees (full or part time) on the firm's payroll:
Associate Member Firm
Definition: Any firm engaged in the manufacturing and/or supplying of geospatial equipment, services, supplies, hardware or software, that supports but is not engaged in the geospatial profession, any firm not engaged in but with an interest in the geospatial field, and any firm meeting the definition of "engaged in the geospatial profession" whose office(s) is (are) located outside of the United States of America may become an Associate Member by making written application to the MAPPS President accompanied by payment of one year's dues.
Associate Member Firm dues are as follows:
Independent Consultant Member
Definition: Any individual who would otherwise qualify for membership as a Regular or Associate Member, but is not affiliated with any firm that would qualify for membership as Regular or Associate Member, has no employees, is engaged in consulting in or to the geospatial profession, and provides a consulting service of interest to the geospatial profession.
Independent Consultant dues: $500
Definition: Any individual who has been an officer of a firm which has been an active or associate member firm for at least the preceding five consecutive years, who has reached the age of 60 years, who has retired from such firm and is no longer engaged in a full time practice in the geospatial profession may become an Emeritus Member by making written application accompanied by payment of one year's dues. Aside from serving on the MAPPS Board of Directors, Emeritus Members have the same rights and privileges as Regular Members.
Emeritus Member Dues: $100Additional Levels of Enhanced Membership (Optional)
Ascent Level Member
Definition: Combines MAPPS annual membership dues and registration rates for one firm principal to attend three major MAPPS conferences within the firm’s membership term (includes Winter, Federal Programs, and Summer conferences). Purchasing the Emerald Package at the time of membership renewal results in a discount from the early registration fee for the MAPPS conferences.
This package is $2,299 in addition to base membership dues.
Definition: Combines MAPPS annual membership base dues, an Alverstone Ascent Membership, a Diamond Sponsorship at the MAPPS Summer or Winter conference and registration rates for two firm principals to attend three major MAPPS conferences within the firm’s membership term (includes Winter, Federal Programs, and Summer conferences). Additionally, purchasing the Diamond Membership Package at the time of membership renewal results in a discount from the early registration fees for the MAPPS conferences.
This package is $13,098 in addition to base membership dues.
