Membership Types

Learn more about the MAPPS membership types and choose one that best fits your firm.

MAPPS membership follows a calendar year and expires on December 31, 2025. New memberships are prorated from March 1 to September 30.

Join between October 1 and December 31, and enjoy the rest of the year free—your membership will be applied to the following year.


Regular Members


Any firm with offices in the United States and employees engaged in the professional geospatial services field may become a Regular Member by submitting an online application. 'Engaged in the geospatial profession' refers to any firm involved in the creation, collection, dissemination, or application of geo-referenced graphical or digital data to represent physical features, phenomena, or boundaries of the Earth, including geospatial intelligence and related information. This includes survey data, maps, charts, geographic information systems (GIS), remotely sensed satellite or aerial imagery, and other related data.

  • $1,500 – 1-50 Employees
  • $3,000 – 51 – 150 Employees
  • $7,000 – More than 150 Employees

Associate Member Firms


Any firm engaged in the manufacturing and/or supplying of geospatial equipment, services, supplies, hardware or software, that supports but is not engaged in the geospatial profession, any firm not engaged in but with an interest in the geospatial field, and any firm meeting the definition of "engaged in the geospatial profession" whose office(s) is (are) located outside of the United States of America may become an Associate Member by submitting an online application.

  • $2,000 – Annual Sales of $5 Million or Less
  • $4,000 – Annual Sales of $5 Million or More

Independant Consultant


Any individual who would otherwise qualify for membership as a Regular or Associate Member but is not affiliated with any firm that would qualify for membership as Regular or Associate Member, has no employees, is engaged in consulting in or to the geospatial profession, and provides a consulting service of interest to the geospatial profession.
